The leader of North Carolina's Republican Party, Dallas Woodhouse, smeared one of Brett Kavanaugh’s accusers as a“criminal” who takes part in child sex-trafficking rings.
“This woman is a criminal,” began the tweets directed at Kavanaugh accuser Julie Swetnick written by NC GOP executive director, @dallas Woodhouse.
“She either was a part of some massive criminal conspiracy to facilitate child rape, as an adult. Or more likely, she lied to Congress and her attorney knew it,” Woodhouse tweeted.
Woodhouse added that Swetnick (who is two years older than Kavanaugh) was a: “college adult” who continued “to go to child rape parties with minors and not do something about it.”
According to Raw Story, The Raleigh News & Observer noted that on Monday, Swetnick’s lawyer Michael Avenatti called for Woodhouse to resign and the Republican leader sniped back at him.
“Like I give a damn what that used car salesman says,” he responded on Twitter. “Either she is telling the truth and broke the law, or she lied and broke the law.”
Woodhouse clarified that the “criminal” comment was only in reference to Swetnick, and not the other women who’ve accused Kavanaugh of sexual assault.
“I do stand with all victims of sex assault,” he said. “I pray for them.”
“However this ONE woman told a story UNDER Oath, that nobody thinks could possibly happen,” Woodhouse added. “It is literally impossible.”
